What did you learn from your van's manual?

Well I will look forward to you listing the 20 no nos

Me too. What’s the betting I’ve done most of them. My worst confession: driving off with the EHU still connected. There were extenuating circumstances, ahem, but even so. Oops.

The manual that came with my 2004 IH was ok for what it covered but poor for what it did not cover... Like fuses. Where are they and which circuit they are for. Still cannot find a fuse for the Omnistep and have still not identified all of the fuses in the wardrobe. I have supplemented it as I discovered stuff over the years so the next owner will benefit from my experiences.

K ?

I drove about 45 miles with a widow open and flapping wondered why I was being flashed for miles and miles lol luckily it survived.

No 1 .
Don't open the Hab door and step out before checking that the step is out first. We've done that twice.. Our boozy pal, Bill did it twice, too.
We always ask if he's brought his parachute, when are meet , these days.

She survived, but after all that flapping was she ok? Maybe the flasher fancied her?

Manuals are under rated things to read. Always a good idea to peruse to find out those bits and pieces that may be useful.

Yes, we only us the manuals when things go. Wrong .
When we bought our first van , the handover took 2 hours, the diligent dealer went through all the manuals.. He said that they don't tell you what not to do, and gave us a list of 20 things we should never do.
19 years later, we're still ticking items off that list... Many for the umpteenth time.!

Care to share your list? :)

I'm still trying to get in touch with the hire company we bought our van from in order to get hold of the hab manuals (the vehicle and radio manuals came with it, but nothing to do with the heater/fridge/hab area etc). I know the vehicles DID have them because we hired from the same company and there was a whole file of paperwork to help run the van!
