What do you do with old batteries?

Price of lead is dropping like a stone right now and I was told it’ll keep dropping even lower over next few years wonder if it’s got anything to do with all the new batteries lithium and the like roll of lead this time last year £250 same roll of lead same size bought yesterday £80 cheaper. I know this cos I’m sorting my accounts for jan and came across receipt.

i spent several years as a proper plumber lead work on roofs of castles & cathedrals at our yard we used to melt all the old lead in a one ton cauldron down and cast it on a large sand bed , we used to buy lead in from the local scrappy and when water went into the molten lead it would empty the whole pot throwing molten lead about ten foot away , people would trap water inside the lead pipe by folding over the ends very different seen from that side of the pot
