What do you put in your toilet cassette, other than human waste?

Do you use liquid, sachets or soap powder?
 
Usually Aldi dish washer tablets but also have a bottle of blue and a bottle of green so we are covered if we want to stop on sites (I hope)

Edit They are bio tablets

It's generally bio washing liquid for me.
I'm not too fussy about the brand but Sainsbury's Bio Basic (?) seems better than Tesco Bio Basic (?) and next on the list to try is Lidl Bio.
In summer I find that 4-5 days is about the maximum time I can leave things between emptying and in winter about 7-10 days. That's about the same as using Thetford green toilet fluid.
I should emphasise that without any of the above I can leave the contents for a month or two between empties before the overpowering fragrance of roses gets the better of me.

Just water and the odd flat bit of Coca-Cola, but I have a question a lot say bio washing powder I always thought it was the non bio you are supposed to use or have I got that wrong.

I think it's 'Bio' flavour, Annie.
The theory is that the enzymes incorporated in the 'Bio' stuff attack the organic matter and help break it down. I suspect it doesn't do that very efficiently once the urine gets converted to ammonia but the fragrance added to any washing product helps mask the odours.
BTW I'm assuming that the flat cola is added to your loo having been mixed with vodka and ingested?

I will check Annie cos now you have said that I am thinking ours should be non-bio, Caz not up yet to ask.

See how easily led I am, Colin says Bio and I agree, you mention non-bio and I ditch Colin and change sides :)

I thought that the bio was just as harmful to a cesspit as the nasty blue stuff that we all used to use I blame Facebook and brexit for my confusion.
 
Okay I have checked, we use non-bio tablets but depending where we are at the time we have blue and green fluid as well.

I thought I had it wrong way round after Annie had posted but not sharpest in a morning:)

I am the proud caretaker of a septic tank, was supposed to have a capacity for 7 years worth of gloop from 10 houses but everyone has washing machines now and most have dishwasher and half the 10 houses dont even realise what a septic tank is. The guys that come to empty it out every 2 years or so reckon its big but everything is relevant :)

I can tell you it isn't nice walking outside to find its backed up and flooded the garden, (another reason its all concrete), make sure I have something on my feet since last time haha

Edit: I always empty my cassette down one of the manhole covers when I get home :)
 
I usually use Tesco biological washing powder tablets. I don't like shopping in Lidl or Aldi but I have used their stuff and found Tesco works better and smells nicer. Surf do rather nice smelling capsules which I've tried as well, it just depends what I have in the house when I top the box in the van up.

I did try the non-bio as an experiment but it didn't break down solids as well. I hate the smell of the blue stuff and the way it stains everything if it gets spilt or the bottle leaks. In my small van I don't have the room to store a bottle upright anywhere, so a plastic box with the tablets or capsules is better.

The bonus is I don't have to carry a separate supply of washing tablets if I'm away for a while and need to do some washing.
 
Lidl Formil better and a lot cheaper than blue I use the same measure for both
