What do people do in there Motorhome’s other than camp, eat and sleep.

I thought you might be interested in my van when I'm not using it for camping and holidays I slide my video racks in behind the drivers and passenger seats they both swivel to create an OB for live broadcasts see photos, I'm just setting up and testing before recording Burnham-on-Sea carnival next Monday.Seats.JPGKitInstalled.jpg

Wife does some crafting when we’er away.

I BEG YOUR PARDON SIR THIS IS OF NO CONCERN TO YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE MAY I SAY
It's no secret everyone knows it's where you keep your stash of lorry mags!!!.

Wow Geoff! That looks like quite a rig in the van. Is this for broadcasting video?

This summer I set up a recording studio in my van for recording music. Its not as clever as it sounds but it does all run on 12v. Basically I can run a Zoom G3 guitar effects processor, an Audio interface with a Condenser mic through an Audio interface through a laptop into my digital audio editor and recording software. Its pretty much the same kit from home but all of it runs on a 12v laptop adaptor or USB. Space (and a wife) dictates I can only take one instrument though. The acoustics in the van are fantastic though. Its a great place for recording. I still cant sing though.

I sat while at Canvey Island and hand sewed (is that even a word) sowed what the heck is the past tense for hand sewing anyway I made covers for the seats I sewed/sowed 5mtrs of bias binding by hand and made two cushion covers and thoroughly enjoyed myself I used to hand sew all the time and knit but RA put paid to that years ago but the meds I am on these days seam to be freeing up the joints a little so am trying to do more sewing and knitting.

To me that’s clever I can’t even get my van radio to work nightmare.

What happens in the van, stays in the van :devilish::LOL:

I do dance to loud music in the mornings whenever I can, before the blinds go up of course! I've got a playlist called Morning Songs
Oh and since all the ladies started knitting squares for charity blankets, I knit sometimes too and try/fail miserably to play the uke.

Hi barryd yea I broadcast live events via a satellite uplink I will put a link on here next Monday if anyone’s interested in seeing some of Burnham carnival live via YouTube. Your setup sounds good my sound recordist likes working in the van so now what you mean plus he’s next to the fridge where he can get a cold beer, if you want a good jaws harpist I’m your man

Jaw Harp huh? Sounds a bit "Red Neck" to me but ill include anything in a track. Ive had actual machine gun and bomb recordings from WW2 in them and on the last one an airplane type effect using a Leffe Blond bottle as a slider on the guitar frets. :D Yeah put a link up we will have a look. I always like Phils live broadcasts but your gear looks a bit more pro than his. Soz Phil.

OK this is a link to the live broadcast for next Monday at Burnham-on-Sea carnival, I'm not sure if this is allowed or will work but here goes anyway.
