What is a motorhome?

awww. thanks mr. admin......cos our campervan is only small.
I know many people think that a motorhome is a big vehicle and a campervan is a smaller vehicle, but this is not the case.

The definition of a motorhome is "a motor vehicle equipped like a caravan for living in."

So if it is an RV, A-class, C-class, PVC, Poptop, Car conversion, VW or a Motor Caravan they are all Motorhomes.

The users of Motorhomes are Motorhomers.

CalMac Ferries refer to all such vehicles as Campers!

The smaller vans aren’t laid out quite like caravans if that’s part of equipping!!!

No such thing a a motorhome/camper,look at log book ,motorcaravan which covers every thing with a donky in it.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club, according to their Crystal Palace site, has specific definitions - must be fitted with a table and must have an external inlet for electricity.

My Land Rover conversion and I suspect most car conversions don’t qualify. The CMC suggest that a tent is required for me to stay on their sites.

Check theDVLA think you will find it is Motorcaravan.

We've had full size motohomes in the past with full facilities but now have a kangoo pop top with no toilet but it's so easy to go were we want too and so cheap to run and if we take the drive away awning plenty of extra room so best of both worlds

It's a brilliant vehicle which I really, really want NOW! But have to wait till Dave has time for the conversion! Or it's our old one which we can borrow on special occasions ?

Well initially yes but the more you use the less expensive maybe :)
We use ours loads just finished 2 years full timing now most weekends and very long trips and 4 months winter sun each winter still very expensive box on wheels.

Now work out how many days you have spent in it then divide the cost by that. Every time you use it the cost decreases :)

Nothing in life is free, or very little, but it should work out a lot less expensive than you may think

Sat on the drive It's a reminder that it's not sold yet, and also that we are not on holiday in it.

But it is not a camper.

Sorry, but I would never refer to my campervan as a motorhome.

They are, however, all motorcaravans as stated by DVLA on the V5.
