What is it with people and other people's dogs?

We both love dogs but have both suffered the loss as I'm sure many have but we decided not to get another, now we are spending more time in the van it'd not be fair either.

One further consideration for not owning a cat or a dog is the amount of agriculture given over to pet food these days.

Not a moan, just facts.

And don't forget the sand eels. Puffins need those too 👍

Not fair on the dog? Depends on the dog! My partner's dog now mopes any time that I take the motorhome out without him. When we get back from a trip with him, he has a quick look at his garden and then sits by the motorhome, waiting to get back on board to continue the adventure!

D'Arcy is like that, only once have I left her behind. Now she knows when a move is on and sits in the motorhome making sure she is going. We usually put her bed in first to convince her she is coming to doggie camp.

I’m on my third trip away this year without my dog, left at home with daughter.
The reason being she gets stressed to death. She wont come in the caravan, wont eat or drink so made the decision to stop taking her with me in the caravan. She was bad enough in the motorhome but worse in the caravan.
She’s an ex racing greyhound and has been nervous from the day I got her 5 years ago. My previous dog, an English bull terrier was the opposite. Absolutely loved being away and would sleep in the motorhome on the drive when I had the doors open.

Because my comment is relevan
I'd like to know how you square that! The post is about dogs, not children. As I said, start your own if you have a complaint about a specific subject!

Good job threads never drift on here ....

Anyway ....
feral kids are often a bigger issue than feral dogs ...
Folks heading off on a holiday and having a break from dealing with their delightful offspring ...
There REALLY should be,some sort of competence test before breeding .
