It will hold a fire in a blacksmithing forge which, when fanned with an air blower will produce 2000+C for forging steel. Or cook your dinner rather quickly!
 
I’m laid in bed in the van heating on coffee in hand catching up on the forums.

thinking of going in search of a flourescent tube for kitchen light.......been without one for past week.......oohhh must get jobs done instead of thinking about doing them...lol

There old hat now,look on ebay led replacement tubes,5 ft about £15 pure white,some mods are required,ie wires direct to end of tube cutting out the power hungry starter etc.

ah. thenks for that, however, i am OLD HAT keep things simple get myself down to b&q with old one give it to assistant let them sort it......bring it home all dun and dusted in half an hour........the hard job is getting myself into gear to start moving,,,,then job will be SORTED.......(dont do ebay) thanks for suggestion anyway...much appreciated.....trixie

At least your halfway there Trixie. Probably the easiest bit. Getting it fitted, now that's something else. All the young uns seem to have christmas fever at the moment.:White_Santa_Claus_E
 
HUH and HUH again spoke too soon........tube fitted ....and guess what... still not working......tried another starter switch efore getting new tube...it didnt work hence getting new tube.
so sat again THINKING.....maybe
hey both needed to be replaced,,,,,,so back to shop tomorrow for new started switch and just in case they sold me a faulty tube, get that exchanged for another one....

rather miffed....so now watching strictly........just love the dresses....and of course the dancing..

My son used to call cars "flies" never could work out why! The Portuguese word for dog is cao (said as cow) !! Now that is another confusion! ?
