Wifi security camera

I'm looking for a cheap WiFi camera that I can see on my phone or laptop, It's not so much for security as being able to see in advance when someone is coming up to the house so I am at the door a bit quicker.

I needs to be able to stick to a window, and not be too in your face, and I need to be able to aim and focus it onto the drive.

Not sure about powering it, I suppose mains or solar might work.

I installed (cable tied) a Blink camera at the rear of my property. Works perfectly, changed batteries once in 2-3 years

This needs to be stuck to a window inside the house.

I have a security pickup behind my gate piller, if anyone walks in it has 2 plug in remote buzzers, one in the house and one in workshop, it catches the next doors cats tail a lot. 😂
THis is by far a better thing than a camera.

Does it need to alert you when movement is detected or just provide a video feed?
Both would be useful Tom, the main thing is I can't screw it to anything and it has to stick to a window but not permanently.

You might consider something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CCVQJ8BS as a cheap solution.
I bought one to fix to the grey waste outlet on the moho when manoeuvring over drains but the magnetic force was not strong enough to be sure that it would remain in place and the router's Wi-Fi did not reach that location, plus I had issues with inadequate vertical scrolling on the display on my Android head unit (as I do with some other apps, including the WildCamping location app), so I returned it. When connected to Wi-Fi, it produced a good image on my phone and the scrolling was fine on that. I forget whether it would alert to movement; it's not mentioned in the item description, but I seem to recall it being mentioned in the app; not a feature that I required, so can't be sure. The app was not entirely intuitive and the printed instructions were so small as to be illegible, even with a magnifying glass; there were online instructions available through the app. It came with a small swivelling stand to which it would attach with the magnet.

You could also consider a video doorbell and I suspect that these would generally provide motion detection alerts, even looking through windows (though I have no experience of this).

Some CCTV devices rely on PIR for motion detection, so this would not work through glass.

The problem is I can only place it in one place Tom, on a window inside of the square bay, nowhere else has the same outlook, we live up a flight of stairs so I need to be able to look down onto them to see anyone coming up to the house, I don't need PIR just the ability to see.

A suction mount is a priority, I suppose I could get one separately.

The mount with which it comes should be capable of attachment to the window frame with 2-sided adhesive tape/pad (supplied); the mount will swivel. See https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BYR11F55 which is basically the same device at a higher price. One of the images shows the stand swivelled.

Yes, black tape will sort that one out, or paint.

Still looking though but they are a possibilty.
