Something of interest to go along with this ....
The disk benchmark I use to check drives, and find nice & easy to use (and free!) is Crystal Disk Mark.
You can test conventional (mechanical) hard disks, SSDs and also USB drives as well with this.

If following the process outlined to disable bitlocker (always make a backup first before messing around with how a drive is set up!!), do a benchmark test with Crystal before and after to see what difference it has made

SSDs certainly do speed things up on a PC ....
