Winter van heating

Putting broken glass in their holes works apparently...

... but you have to catch the little bu99ers first
K ;)
Nutella [or margarine topped with hot chocolate powder] on the plastic traps that have a much finer setting than the traditional wooden traps. But the mice do learn quickly! I had a spell of 3 days where the hair trigger had been tripped, but no mouse caught. Then I found a triggered trap that had the live mouse captured by his foot; seems he ran at the trap to knock it over/bounce it against the wall, to trigger the neck breaker, enabling the mouse to empty the Nutella container at his leisure ... Change of tactics [Marchie v, the Meeces Round 2] saw me fit Blu Tak to the trap base [difficult to place the trap without setting off the hair trigger] to prevent the charging run, and the killing recommenced, starting with a mouse with a very surprised look on its face ... The mouse equivalent of 'WTF?' must have been its last reflection ... :D

I posted somwhere about electronice devices not working, but it seems the rodent ones do, we had little furry visitors at the last house and I bought 4 of them from Rentokill, it took a few days to get rid of them, cleaning every day so we could spot the new turds, but they left, when we sold the house we hid them away for viewing, and the new owners rang after few months asking if we'd had any mouse problems, I was honest and said yes when we first moved in but got rid of them with said devices, they bought the same ones and got rid of the mice.

Very cruel, i use traps that just trap them, then take the we fellers out to some fields and let them go, some mice have a baby to look after. 😂

Waste of time, Trev. The little buggers just follow you back down the garden and nip in via the 'Mice only' entrance, whilst I go the extra 7m to the back door ...

Thought they had a contract out on me last winter. Got into the van which was in an open storage and when I got home the domestic sort had got into a first floor understairs cupboard. Lots of traps put down and peppermint oil has so far done the trick. Could this cold weather change that?

Singing 'Who's souris now'? 'Vous, mes petits buggers' :D Or, depending on the country of origin and gender, 'Whose sari now?' a few seconds before selling an abandoned item of clothing ...
