Home safe. Thankyou to Lee and Linda for organising the weekend, and thankyou to the Abingdon Scout Group for the loan of their lovely field and Fire circle.

Thankyou to all for their company this weekend. We didn't get to say goodbye to everyone as someone mentioned Pub and you were all gone !

See you again soon,

Paul and Helen.

I've just got in from the fire, that's all the sleepers burnt.
We lit the fire about 6pm and we've had a beautiful fire all night, punctuated by a bit of a thunderstorm halfway thought, the storm cleared to leave a chilly but clear night.
We are all leaving in the morning after an unexpected good weekend.
I hope everyone had had a great time.

i don’t think we could have been in a better location to sit out the storm the big trees filtered the worst of the wind lee/linda arranged the rain for overnight we even missed the big power cut, the fire circle is a work of art 4ft high earthen embankment with laurels on top funnelled most of the smoke straight up craig dropped of 8 railway sleepers burnt two a night without constantly stoking it annie would have been in heaven , thanks again lee & linda

Thanks lee and Linda we had a nice chilled weekend with a really good crowd of people the weather was nice the wee bit of rain we did have never really stopped play for long and good on Craig for fetching half the east coast main line to burn on the fire. The carvery was a great idea to get everyone together for a meal I’ll need a week to burn it off . It was well worth the trip down?

Have a good trip home, I hope you enjoy a few days with the family in York and where ever you end up.
I still feel humbled that you came all that way to visit us and I'm pleased you had a good time.
It's my turn to visit you next see you in September.

Big thank you Lee and Linda for a fabulous, chilled weekend and to everyone for your excellent company (y) I know we had a few showers but lots of sunshine too. Lovely walk to the pub Katherine and James - thank you. Thank you too to all the fire monitors... great job guys.
Hazel, I'm so sorry... that's the second meet we've both been to when I've forgotten to give you the squares I've knitted. I'll need a wheelbarrow to trundle them over to you by the time I remember!
Please pass on our thanks to the scouts for letting us take over their club for a while.
