What voltage output do you reckon you were getting from it while it was in its defective state?

whatever the charger was set to, so around 14V.

Sorry, I was wondering if it settled on the bulk voltage or the float voltage but of course wasn't necessarily a lead battery setting so that 14V ish was simply a lithium setting?

I really don't recall.
I actually have another device - A Victron Orion Smart-Tr DC-DC Converter between the MPPT Load Output and the Habitation electrics - to provide/present a set regulated voltage so it doesn't really matter to me what the output voltage in that respect. (a battery charging voltage is IMO too high to be the voltage used for many things used in a Motorhome, so I regulate virtually the entire 12V load side side).
