Exactly !And what about those who use a plastic bag to dispose of their darling fur babies' waste in a rubbish bin. Any significant difference?
Non at all.And what about those who use a plastic bag to dispose of their darling fur babies' waste in a rubbish bin. Any significant difference?
Oh Dear !
The motorhome police/mafia are wound up
Calm down and read this post from Dee #52 and others by her.
The guy was wrong but who knows how good his bag was.
To follow up Dee's post...
How many baby nappies and old persons nappies get deposited (Correctly) in the household/ commercial (Care homes) rubbish collection system.
Can we (or not) assume the Recycling company know what they are doing (or should I say doings)
Some might be not convinced by Campervanannies solution
I was parked in a well known riverside beauty spot car park this morning. Only one other motorhome there and they proceeded to remove their toilet cassette and take it round to the hidden side of their van.
I could see underneath their motorhome and watched the owner empty the contents of the cassette into a plastic carrier bag and then carry the bag to a waste bin. This was a litter bin which would have to be physically emptied by a council worker.
I was shocked and disgusted at this behaviour and this to me is another example of why motorhomers have a bad reputation and are being banned from lovely spots.
Here we have the same problems but they don,t put it in the bin they just dump it in the hedge and drive of thats why many locals want motorhomes band from the beach carparks
?treated human waste is used in the uk fields too, re yellow bins didn’t see any of those at my dads care home but that was 8 years ago, but give the people who use bags a bit of credit - we don’t want to poison anyone and we are not pooing in the open, apparently urine is good in the compost binHi. Ooh well. Here's my 5 pence worth. Do not see the problem here. In Belgium human waste is spread on fields. Crops are then grown. In uk. Horse sh,,, is spread on veg gardens. And farmers spread cow/pig sh,,,,, onto there fields. Dog poo is put in dog bins.the old fashioned cess pits the wet waste drained into surrounding soil. And some councils say put dog bags in normal litter bins. So why not human waste in bins. IF. I was to dispose of my waste in carrier bag. Then into bin and someone came up and told me I should not. Then I would tell him. Calmly politely that he should keep his/her opinions to themselves and if they did not like/ agree with what I did. Then phone police or whoever I will wait here and they can report me. Here they can use my phone to do it. If there is signs. Bylaws saying you should not dispose of Things then that's different. I do get annoyed when people think that there opinion is right and then proceed to tell others what to do and how/why. Every one has there own opinions thoughts ideas. That is there right. It is not there right to I suppose dictate to others what to do or how to do it. There is more then one way to be right. There are many ways to be right. Ok. Now calming down. Just finished two weeks holiday. So I have a few threads I intend to publish to get opinions.
Does it depend on the authority. I seem to recall notices somewhere about not emptying chemicals down some particular toilets somewhere. I suppose if they say not to, don’t and just be cautious as not everywhere has a sewage system.I would have been disgusted too but on reflection it occurred to me that maybe the propensity for authorities to combine rubbish bins with dog waste bins might confuse people as to the purpose of the bin.
What are the opinions, here, regarding the emptying of cassettes into toilets. A friend of mine made lots of yuk yuk noises at the thought. I said to her that I thought that pouring partially treated sewage down one was no worse than dumping totally fresh untreated sewage straight from the body, to which she reluctantly agreed. Mess is one argument against. I have practiced, at home, and have developed a method that is completely mess free and always leave the toilet in cleaner condition that I found it. It is all down to angle of the spout and the depression of the yellow button, when and how hard. Practice, practice.
The real issue here is the lack of dump facilities in the UK. In France, where we mainly stay, a slight detour to one of three free aires to dump grey water and cassette on the journey home, and we are ready for the next outing.
