I posted the photo of my Extingisher before. I have been meaning to get a fireblanket for the van (already have one in the house) as well but never got round to it until this thread reminded me - so arrived today was this chappie - https://amzn.to/31xZtu3
Now of course, having the kit is one thing - knowing HOW to use it correctly is another!
I am saying this as someone who had a kitchen pan set alight, put the fire out by smothering it with a towel (didn't have a fire blanket at the time) and then very carefully carrying the pan ouside (had very little oil in it -if it were a chip pan or more filled, would not have lifted it up) and placed outside. Pretty well the right things done but ..... still ended up with this (scroll down to see) ....
(the little staples are there to keep the skin graft in position)
Because once the fire is out, you must make sure it stays starved of oxygen! I made the mistake of just lifting the edge of the towel to check it was out and that let in enough fresh air for it to flare up and shoot up my hand
So get the kit BUT also learn how to use it before you need it, as you won't have time to read the label with flames shooting up next to you
