Weather Report..................

Anyway it managed to stay dry here and was pleasant enough for a couple of hours gardening. Having seen Paul's pics I think a new 2020 smug filter is required, look at that sky and long shadows :alien:, as for the very pale liquid in the glass, surely its not water:eek:
Now, now, Dave, you know how hard it is to avoid charges of smugness. Never mind the latest technology, I had to resort to good old fashioned bribery for the waiter to make the picture hazy.
I could have edited and tweeked it, but I don't believe in Gilding the lily.
Just 11 degrees tonight, with strong northerly gusts due.
We'd better close the windows tonight.. A first since we arrived..
It's only 6, back in our village.
Mustn't grumble.

Medina Sidonia was beautiful. A 3000 year old fortified hilltop, 20 miles inland, north of Cadiz.. Motorhome friendly, we believe.
1000 feet above sea level, makes it very pleasant over the summer.
View attachment 75564View attachment 75563I think we're must have climbed every single foot of that, to get up the narrow lanes to the top.
15 degrees and Hazy sunshine was ideal for us .

Not as sunny as yesterday's forecast promised for Hertfordshire but very acceptable nonetheless.
It's about 4°C right now and the air is still.
So I'll keep an eye on the weather as I continue work on the Brompton rear rack and hopefully get out on the bike later this afternoon.
I don't want a repeat of yesterday's oversight.

Colin 🙂🙂🙂

Still and overcast with a hint of brightness, only 4 degrees so not living up to the forecast so far. However it’s dry so I’m on gardening duties at my more elderly cousin’s house this morning .... 😇
Got to look after the old and needy, Dave.. As Management keeps on muttering to herself..
Looks like I'll need a brandy with our elevenses, today..
( Just me, looking after the old and needy. )

I kept my weather eye out as planned and went out on the Brompton this afternoon. The sky stayed largely clear and the countryside was a delight. St Albans cathedral sat up above the Ver:

......with some remnants of Roman Verulamium in the foreground.
Then off eastwards to Hatfield, north to Welwyn Garden City and on to Ayot St Peter where the sun did a great job of spreading a golden glow over the ploughed fields:

Did the new carrier affect the mpg Colin?

It's not on the Brompton yet, Chris, though in-depth calculations and computer simulations indicate that my fuel consumption will increase by about 0.31 sospk (slices of sourdough per km) in still air on level tarmacadam meeting EN 432 at 20 kph.
I'll also be fitting a laser monitoring and head-up display unit which will automatically upload to the website. Once everything is finally calibrated, installed and commissioned we'll have more reliable information available which will aid future developments.
I hope this helps.

Colin 🙂🙂🙂
