What did you do to your van today?

Well today the camper vin is all together and in one piece, de-laminated floor is now laminated,, carpet fitted, beds reinstalled and all the inside (thanks to her ladyship) is all clean and polished, so we're ready to rock n roll, all I need is the bottle to go out and use it, but it looks good

Be great to see folks again Eric ,safe journey but keep oot ma road flying jock coming through😀😀😀😀😀
I was planning on keeping out of your way I don’t want to get dazzled😂 will be goodto see folks again missed the Green Frog meeting that might have been.

first time ive seen van in a long time (lockdown)......so today its parked up outside......luverly..........loose wire hanging down so taped it up...will have a further investigation as to where it should go tomorrow......needs a good wash down which will probably get done tomorrow......bit too cold today to mess about with it.........may also get a ride out in it tomorrow........well it a start anyway..

replaced the Solex carb with a Webber 34ICH one. Runs better so far no issues to complain about and all the previous issues gone ( backfiring missing, lumpy, heavy on the juice) none of which new replacement kit helped with. So heres hoping iy works good from now on. Apart from some minor modifications it was easy to fit and install.

Washed all the Sahara dust off, then read the south had more over the last day or so. Hope it doesn’t drift up here again……

2001 Mercedes Hymer B 680, every year I have to remove the bathroom roof light (again) as it’s very dirty within the double type glazing, any way it is fixed by the star washer things (can only be used once) so what I’ve done is drilled a 2mm hole in each arm and refitted the roof light using “R” clips (following the clean) as I feel I’ll have to clean its inside again next year, easier to remove using r clips. Also re-sealed around the roof light frame and re-lubricated the winder mechanism, just about perfect now (for how long though ?)

All ready to go done most of my stuff today. wee one finishes school 4 o’clock hoping to be out of here by 6pm trundle down the road a bit towards Hereford picked a couple of stopovers so drive for 3 maybe 4 hours see where that gets me. Hoping to get down near Birmingham

I loaded some bits and pieces into ours yesterday as our Motorhome cupboard in the house was getting too full. It was just replenishment of stuff we'd used on our recent trip (emergency beans; emergency corned beef; coffee etc etc).

I had also bought some proper Velcro as well as we have a slide out cupboard under our fridge which slides out (and in) if I take a right hand corner too quickly or hit a bump. The velcro keeps it in when I attach a strip to it and to the fridge above (the fridge is OK as it has a travel lock thingy).

Next trip is next Monday. Hopefully I shall get a MH wash in before then too.
