We are sailing new haven to dieppe on March the 4th at 10"00 am booking in at 08*00 hrs
we require lift tests Thursday evening can anyone recommend a place we can obtain this
the pharmacy in sainsbury at new haven only can do it at 15*20 which is too tight time scale
we believe 24 hrs is max

I will check Gordon, but I believe that the time limit has changed to 48 hrs.
Back soon!
Yep! Here we go, this is from the .gov website

If you‘re fully vaccinated

If you’re planning to travel to France you should consult the French government guidance.

From 14 January 2022, fully vaccinated (see ‘Vaccination status’ below) travellers from the UK must:

  • Present a negative PCR or antigen test result taken within 48 hours pre-departure if aged 12 years and over
  • Provide a completed ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying you’re not suffering from symptoms associated with coronavirus and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight. This can be found on the French government’s website

We're hoping to cross on 19th February at 23:00 from Newhaven and are driving down from Fife. We've booked LTFs at Lloyds Pharmacy in Sainsburys, at Amblecote, Stourbridge [about 10 miles from J3 M5 A456 exit towards Halesowen on 18th at 1620 & 1640 to make a comfortable Day 2 drive. The sailing day will be 28 hours after the LFT, so we have a decent margin for delays or other problems.

Day 1 drive to Town End Cottages, Penrith 153 miles; Day 2 to Stourbridge for LFTs 182 miles Pub Stop at Quarry Bank/Brierley Hill or on A491 Feeder Road to J4 M5 at Hagley; Day 3 drive to Newhaven 189 miles

Lloyds Pharmacy had about 25 free LFT slots on 18th February and there's parking at the Supermarket, or on the adjacent Withmoor Football pitch, or on the surroundinghousing estate roads. If you need more location or other details, feel free to PM me. And timescale is 'within 48 hours'

Hoping to get away soonish . Intending to order test kit to be delivered at home then do test en route

we lee & i booked appts 19:30, 19:50, 2010, 20:30, but the tests are shown at newhaven port so on departure 15 30 is fine as long as you can get there in time

How did the uploading of the Test Results happen? I know we've to take passports to Lloyds Pharmacy for the ID, so I was working on the basis that we would receive an email with a PDF attachment that we would then send to DFDS. I haven't yet made the booking [reviving a cancellation from November 21], so I have no idea of the process for giving DFDS the test results. Our tests are booked for 16:20 & 16:40 on 18th Feb in Stourbridge, and then we drive to Newhaven on the morning of 19th for the 23:00 crossing [scurry to cabin and close out the world ..].

I have a paper copy and electronic version of the Declaration sur l'honneur on the phone, but various posts on this and other Forums suggest that the Border Control are not bothering to look at them, just 'Passport & Vaccination Proof, please'

the pharmacist prints you off the certificate

No biggie but hoping the requirement for test , as reported , finishes soon .
When I was in France Oct/Nov I used Pass Sanitaire on my phone . Worked very well . Not sure if this is still being used ?

I found it easier to have everything printed off and in a file each. I just handed the lot over At Newhaven and again at customs in Dieppe. Watching people struggling with phones was interesting.
That's what we have [paper copy of eveything in a poly pocket] plus copies of everything on the phone. I was interested in the process of proving to DFDS/Border Control [and anyone else who knows me as people used to say on the radio] that I had the required paperwork; because the information on the DFDS website on the methodology of delivering the documentation is conspicuous by its absence!

We used Simplytestme for a Eurotunnel crossing on 8th Feb - worked perfectly with certified results within 5 minutes of uploading test.
No one asked to see test results, vaccine certificates or Declaration d'honneur - they asked if we had got them but did not ask to see them.
First restaurant in Germany we visited (last night) asked if we had been vaccinated twice and did not ask to see certificates.
