Thoughts whilst driving in France

Woke this morning to noise outside the van. Peering through the window I saw several people assembling, what I now know as Delta wings.
The aire I’m on is about a 1000 metre, sheer drop, above the Grenoble area. There’s a launch pad a few meters from the van, it’s from here that folks throw themselves into the air.
Apparently it’s one of the biggest thrills you can have with your clothes on 😬
If I knew how, I’d post a picture.

As for posting on photo, like wot you dun?
I’m having a senior moment. Can’t remember for the life of me, how to put one up onto the forum)

If you are going any further South Del it may be worth seeing if you can get into Paul Richard Circuit near Le Castellet. It’s a lovely walk around the circuit if you can get in.

Over two hundred miles from here Neil. Not this trip. I’ll try to plan it when there’s a meeting on. Not sure if they run bikes there. Mr Google, do your thing.🤓
Not sure if it is a good idea to walk the circuit if there is a meeting on Del, you can't dodge them like you did as a marshall 🤣🤣🤣🤣

One of those frustrating days. Needed a laundry, almost out of gb on the Vodafone sim.
They let me use 25 gb of the 250 I got, with the assurance that I could use all 250 while in Europe. Long story, short shrift.
Anyway, Sally Sat Nag couldn’t find Grenoble. Don’t know why. Seemed that she just fancied a trip over the Alps. Lots of hair pin bends later. I turned it off, and used a map.😳
Finally got to Grenoble, and to the Free mobile shop, and got a new SIM card for the next month. I’ll be bashing it over the next couple of weeks. Was surprised that I was charged for the SIM card on top of the gb price. Then again, in Britain, I suppose that fee is included in the up front cost.
Dark by the time I started looking for somewhere to park. Found somewhere a little way outside Grenoble. Sassenage. Apparently, it’s a popular arie. I’m the only one here. Still it was dark when I got here. I don’t think l’ll cause a problem where I’ve parked. And I’ll be off first thing tomorrow.

I did that as a 14year old. On a delivery bike, heavy as sin, and about three times too big. And stirup brakes.
Not a lot of ‘Elf n sanity in the early 60’s
Okay, not Alpine, but Ossulton Way, was bloody steep. Only good thing about it was, the bike would be empty, pushing it, on the way back up.
Think Ronnie Corbett, Hovis sketch. Bin there dun it. Init

Been on the flat land for about 18 hours. Far too long.
Going to try for Mont Blanc, over the next couple of days. Yes I know, neither Demi or I will reach the peak. But then again, I MAY NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN. To quote someone or other.

If you do go up to Mont Blanc stop at the Commemorative plaque for the 39 sole's that died in the tunnel fire in 1999
