Thoughts whilst driving in France

Phew that's expensive water when your silly AutoSleeper only has a 67 litre tank. Still, it is a lot less than having to pay £25 here just to fill up with water and park for a night. You can keep the electricity, that's only for EVs.
Since we have a lot of free water here, falling out of the sky, why don't we have roof water collectors with a pipe down to the tank, just as we collect solar rays and pipe them down to the batteries?

Had some internet problems. So I’ve not been able to keep up with this thread. Or others, tbh.
Vodafone limiting me to 25gb of the 250 I pay for, in Europe..
(Miss sold, not so say V. I used to buy a local sim, when in Europe. Only another 14 months and I can drop them, and never go back.)
New month, I now have another 10%.of what I’m paying for.

Getting back to the thread.
I don’t eat out, Nikki does the shopping at home, so local prices don’t mean a lot to me. I throw whatever I want into the trolley, and pay for it. Same with fuel ( in the tank, not the trolley). The price is the price.
I’m happy to go with the flow..
Yesterday, watched a Boule competition. I wish I could work out the rules. I love the way it energises the players. Going from laughter to outrage to commiseration, back to laughter. Considering the weight of the balls. A lot of damage could be done if things got out of hand.
 
I have a recipe book called "Road Kill Cooking" which tells you how to tell how old a carcase is, if it is edible and if it is legal to for example cut up a deer that has been in a collision with a Scania.
Apart from my wife's cooking which I can't analyse, I don't think I have tasted any of those recipes. :eek:

No a problem for me.
My cooking all tastes like roadkill. That’s why I usually stick to chicken breast and pork cutlet meals. Got the van sorted for air fryer, stove top and microwave cooking. Keep trying to use herbs and spices, to alter/improve/modify my meals. Funny how I remember to do that, as I’m washing up. One day 😬
 
We are just north of le mans, and had our first rain for a long time,, but the sun has just come out again and here for the forceable according to the forest, what a lovely quiet spot, we have been watching the woodpeckers, red squirrels, and wild deer, we will probably stay a few days and get our money worth out of this free aires 😁😀👍

Rarely pay for an aire Jeff, I’ve always found the F Aires in the book to be great value 🤐
 
Another muse. After being woken at 6.30 by cleaning of bins by pressure washers 😡🤬
Listening to the news this morning. Comments on the price of British fuel prices. 4p on petrol and 12 on derv ? Blamed on the cut in production ?
How then, here in France, all road fuels are a similar price.
Greedy British Chancellor ? Or perhaps a stealthy way of pushing us to Electric?
 
I think you'll find that the French government are involved ....this from "Motorhoming in France "

FUEL PRICE CAP?
Whilst fuel prices in France continue to rise, the government has ruled out giving motorists any aid and instead is asking the fuel companies to keep their margins to a minimum. The French company Total has already announced that it would keep the price cap for all fuels in its service stations at 1.99 euros per litre until the end of the year. The government however wants even more discount and from December, has allowed the major fuel companies to sell their fuel at below cost price, but the government however is not prepared to make even the slightest financial gesture for motorists.
