Who's Awake

Kin ell mate, I'd be needing the emergency services, my bladder wouldn't cope at all well.

£65 for one session would put me on the breadline too.

I had my time of course, in the 80's I could put it away, but I just got bored with it tbh.

Bear in mind though Kev that this is over several hours, but yes it's getting expensive - you need a one'er for a day out in the pub these days really.

I never knew you were a squillionare Rob, the only time I ever fork out that much is for diesel, I think the van has a habit:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Perhaps you're part fish Rob :D :D Stay well clear of that Chris, or you'll get a sore lip mate.

Far from it Kev, I just have to prioritise what I spend my dosh on.

Given the choice between Beer/Baccy and food/clothes Etc. - there's only one winner there!

Oh yes, I understand prioritising Rob, Liz first, then the neighbour's cat, then me :D :D :D

I'd not go home at this rate, Rob

As of early 2026, pubs in Great Britain are closing at a rate of approximately one per day. In 2025 alone, 366 pubs were lost permanently in England and Wales, a trend expected to continue due to high operating costs, business rates, and energy bills.

Key Statistics for 2025/2026:

  • Closures: Roughly 378 pubs were expected to close across England, Wales, and Scotland in 2025.
  • Pubs Left: By the end of 2025, the total number of pubs liable for business rates in England and Wales had fallen to approximately 38,623, with over 41,000 estimated across the UK when including broader definitions.
  • Long-term Decline: Since 2000, more than 15,000 pubs have permanently closed, representing a loss of roughly one in four pubs.

That's frightening statistics there Kev!

I must do more to support the landlords, I feel it is my duty. 😐
