I like it there too. I used to go when I had a trailer tent as well before I retired. Every Sept. I'd go to The Warren one year, then somewhere in Cornwall the next. Everything is much easier now with the motorhome though. The Warren Camping and caravan club site in Folkstone we have gone there every September for nearly 26 yrs my other half paints military tin figures and it’s an anual show the campsite has part of the white cliffs behind you the sea and beach in front of you and at night you can see France all lit up in the distance just magical.
My favourite campsite, when I use one, is Holland's Wood, in the New Forest. Very peaceful, easy walk to the nearest village, Brockenhurst, and some lovely walks. I stayed there last year during my tour of the South coast. It was extremely hot at the time, reaching 35 degrees, but it was lovely to see all the horses come into the wood for shade. I had two of them just a couple of yards away from my door.Tell us about your most Favourite Campsite and why . It can be anywhere in Europe
Ours is the Quiet site in Ullswater Lake District . The sky at night is awesome and a lovely bar with a roaring log fire
I’d forgot about that site it was the lady in the petrol station told us about it years ago when we stopped for fuel what a great site.Mellon Udrigle. Visited for the first time this year after recommendations from a member.
Park more or less where you want, views to die for, remote, black and grey waste disposal which is all I require.
