as with you sue,,,,,druridge is a fav at the moment......peaceful, lake, beach all to hand and not too far from the lovely little town of amble and other small towns.
stayed at a nice one in bamburgh a few years ago......think it was called the warren....they were filming an episode of tv series VERA at the time.
also like country park overlooking filey bay
stayed at some nice sites along the rhine...cannot recall their names.
dont really have a favorite

The Warren Camping and caravan club site in Folkstone we have gone there every September for nearly 26 yrs my other half paints military tin figures and it’s an anual show the campsite has part of the white cliffs behind you the sea and beach in front of you and at night you can see France all lit up in the distance just magical.

Apart from when we first started wild camping in a one man tent back on 2007, we have only ever been on one campsite, this was/is the Sligachan campsite of Skye, but it doesn't really count as it was in the off season when they allow you to camp, but sans facilities, otherwise we are true blue 100% wild campers so far, we don't even use sites for servicing, although, if I had a list of service sites we are thinking of going that way in the near future, as emptying and filling is getting to be a pain in the bum.

Campsites are like public conveniences... We only use them when necessary. Certainly don't like to hang around in them for too long... You meet some odd characters there.

Camping Gautrelle on the Ile d'Oleron out of season. Its a basic site, but it's fabulous to go to sleep with the sound of the waves only a few feet away.

I rarely visit sites twice, but this is one of the exceptions because it brings back memories of past family holidays when the boys were young.

I like it there too. I used to go when I had a trailer tent as well before I retired. Every Sept. I'd go to The Warren one year, then somewhere in Cornwall the next. Everything is much easier now with the motorhome though.

My favourite campsite, when I use one, is Holland's Wood, in the New Forest. Very peaceful, easy walk to the nearest village, Brockenhurst, and some lovely walks. I stayed there last year during my tour of the South coast. It was extremely hot at the time, reaching 35 degrees, but it was lovely to see all the horses come into the wood for shade. I had two of them just a couple of yards away from my door.

To me it depends what you want at the time, I liked Home Farm on the way to Sandy Bay, Weston it’s a small site with ehu water and elsan point set in what was the orchard. You don’t get viewsbut nice relaxing site to recharge a bit, bonus is they have their own honey and eggs for sale but no showers or anything else

Mellon Udrigle. Visited for the first time this year after recommendations from a member.
Park more or less where you want, views to die for, remote, black and grey waste disposal which is all I require.

I’d forgot about that site it was the lady in the petrol station told us about it years ago when we stopped for fuel what a great site.

Our favourite is Camping Millau Plage, in France. It is on the river, so the plage is river bank. We got a pitch by the river and it was gorgeous. It was a good 20 minute walk into town, but the exercise was good. Our favourite wild camping was at the viewpoint over the Millau viaduct. Utterly spectacular.

Our all time favourite site is Clachtoll Bay campsite near Lochinver.
Wonderful, right on the beach and quiet. Although we are going to Concierge Camping near Chichester next week and at around £55 a night it is a 6 star site and looks amazing.
