I have had to repair the Hab doors on 2 of my vans. They are not very well made at all and can give problems after a lot of use. It sounds like a linkage problem affecting the external handle but could be a spring that has come off its location if the inner handle is sloppy.

Yes it does Jim and that works fine.

Sometimes on my van the handle would only open from inside,what i found was the contact for the door was not touching properly so a small washer placed behind the contact in the van side fixed this.
