Acsi card

When we travel to France we usually only use aires or wilding spots. However every once in a while we like to stay on a site for a few days to catch up on the laundry and generally have a few days when we can get the awning, barbecue and all other associated paraphernalia out and chill out. For this we find acsi very useful, especially outside the high season. In fact in all the years we have been travelling to Europe I think we have only used acsi sites when we have needed to go on a site.

We had a card a few years back Tony like you we used it for the facilities but ended up staying a few days,we use aires an awful lot tbh

Could be. Discounts apply in June in a lot of the campsites and into the beginning of July. Have a look at their website https://www.campingcard.co.uk/france/ and see if any of their sites interest you and it will tell you the discount price. You can also check the full price with the link to the site's own website. Sometimes the savings aren't that large, but usually several Euros per night. You can order from Vicarious Media https://www.vicarious-shop.com/products/acsi-2019 who will post it quickly in the UK.

We use it when we go to Spain in the winter because we like to use the showers after a day out walking or cycling.

Or if you have a site or two in mind, one of us who already have the book could tell you the dates of discount for each site. You could quickly decide wether the purchase was warranted. Who knows you might even get a use or two out of it back home in September before everywhere shuts up for the year.

I joined few years ago but did not use so lapsed.
Joined again this year with Switzerland in the plans.

We have one and are on a site at present. We live in France and we are finding we are having to lay for more Aires than last year- Monday nights was € 11.50 for a parking place . Here is €16 for a big pitch , showers and electric.

Many thanks for info looks like they’re stepping up the (harder to park etc)
Last time we used acsi we were very impressed with the savings we got .we found a few really excellent aires but also noticed some vans appeared to have set up camp on them which has probanly led to this as some areas in Scotland here

Has anyone used Camping-Car Park? You buy a membership card, either by post or at the Aire, and top it up to use their Aires which have a security barrier to allow authorised access only. They have electric, wifi and the usual services. You can see how many spaces are available in real-time. Quite a small network so far. https://campingcarpark.com/en/

If you want to use campsites for more than 3 nights in total in the off peak then an ACSI card saves you money, alan

At one site I was on the ACSI rate was €18 and I heard someone being charged €42 per night. One night would gave paid for the book.

Can this card be used high season traveling 7 July for maybe three weeks had a look and and a site I’v booked for first couple of nights is more than half price. It’s got the green €20 marker on it. Just don’t know if it would work high season

august is the big month in france & holland acsi often works for most of july each individual site has its acceptance dates on its entry you can search there website should be no problem with it paying its way, only in italy have we been told restricted pitches for acsi

Thought that o well ordered one anyway the book and the app will come in handy. Think I’ll probably split my time up two three nights on a nice site with a pool then a couple of nights wandering maybe on an airs or wild camp near a beach. Bring it on

This company seems to have taken over many Aires . Not exactly cheap . They provide an ok service but can't help feeling , long term , they're not good news for us
