Whilst vacuuming the car out earlier today, for some unknown reason an advert from yonks ago found it’s way into my head for 1001 carpet shampoo.

1001 cleans a big big carpet for less than… what?

All us oldies remember the advert well , "Half a Crown" which was 2/6p ( two shillings & 6 Pence ) A crown was 5 shillings = 60 old pennies

The decimal system is so much easier isn't it ?
