All things Jackery 👍

Annyhoo, the bottom line is it works and is there as a backup if needed.

Anti surge plug is not a problem and replaced a 3A switched fuse outlet and fused at the same value. Mains from there goes direct to the boiler control board. This is on a 2012 Vaillant boiler installed by a Gas Safe father and son company and maintained by a different local small company, also fully Gas Safe registered. They do their service and leave a report at each visit along with electrical and gas/flue test measurements.

I rest my case M'lud.

Cheers

Charging eBike batteries in preparation to store them in the house over winter, will pull them out if required.
Using Jackery and unit at same time, braw sunny day pulling in 80+ W, using single panel 😀

Trev, I had my system designed to meet the needs of my 250+ year old home, which has three floors. I can isolate each floor CH pipework, for example, if I need to remove a rad on ground floor, I isolate floors two and three, then drain ground floor only, and as you will know, I can isolate the individual rad being worked on without draining every ground floor rad.

Thermostats are normally located within a hallway, my heating would never be off if I had a stat within hallway, which is large and cavernous over the three floors. System was designed to work via TRV's, and use of boiler stat. And as boiler is outside in my boiler house ( I use to have oil ) pump, motorised valves, water filter, are all within boiler house, easy to maintain, with no mess in house when being serviced, frost stat also in place.

My system was planned out by an expert gas system engineer, it was he who stated, due to unique layout of my rooms over three floors, it would be difficult to place a room stat, which would/could leave other rooms cold when room where stat would is located said no heat required. TRV's work well for me.
Yes trv do work and you can use them upstairs no bother, don't fit them on ground floor, better to let heat rise, the living room stat is a must by regulations, though you can move it to where it works best for you, mind you not all of us live in mansions LOL.

I was thinking about solar panels in the garden charging a bank of batteries which in turn would run the led lighting sys in the house and pos the central heating, prob draw would be between 100 and 200w all in, the burner and controls plus pump are around 120w but more on fire up, say 300w, led lights no more than 100w max, think lith batts best for this job, but again all down to price which may or not cover the cost saving on grid electric over a few years.

I guess I wasted my time going to my expert Trev, I should have put a post up here back then for sound, expert, advice.
