First dry day since leaving Scotland on Friday morning, and we've had enough sun this afternoon to get the LB into Absorption Mode (Ok, only for 1 hour 5 minutes ...). Arrived at Le Boulou in daylight and had enough time for a short daylight stroll (y)

133 miles tomorrow to Vilafranca and then the break begins in earnest :ROFLMAO:

Enjoy your holiday mate ....very envious  Are you heading for the coast ?
Not directly, Chris. Barcelona is about 13 miles away from Vilafranca del Pinedes, a mediaeval town that is the birthplace of the human tower building sport. A beautiful place to wander around, and some great people who become friends as soon as they see the Crosses sticker on the back of the M/home. The Christmas celebrations are a joy to observe too! We may travel on to other places, haven't got any plans! The 60 days Aviva insurance limit means we'll have a long drive back to Scotland for 3-4 weeks and may well do a repeat trip, but visiting cities such as Cordoba, Seville and Granada. What passes for our 'plans' always change completely, so we'll wait and see what develops!

Didn't know about that aire, Ken, and we were looking for somewhere in the Tarragona area on the return trip in April 2022, so ta very much!

Arrived in Vilafranca eventually after another triumph of Garmin routing software (and too late did I recall that it did the same thing last trip over 18 months ago ... Doh!). About 15 miles from the approach to Barcelona, 'Take the right turn to Autopista Mediterranean' which involved cutting across 4 lanes of traffic, most being HGVs, so a few cheery waves given and received as I cut through. And then at about 250m from the Junction, the bloody satnav pipes up, ' Be in either of the 2 left hand lanes', where I'd just come from ... 35 miles of detour later, we arrived! The good news is that the local Petromiralles Diesel is €1.449 (£1.247 at today's rate), and the LPG is €0.949 (81.7p per litre) so we have full tanks and cylinders and the sun has just set with 14 degrees on the dial
And we've just bought Mercadona out of stock with all of the things that are so much cheaper than at home ...
It really feels like coming back home, despite Garmin's efforts on the navigation front ...
