So the question is ..... Will anyone be daft enough to hand over money to this person to get their "bargain"?

I can't see an option to report a listing which is a scam. probably why these people don't get pulled up straight away as eBay makes it hard to report.
one at random.

I tried to report it here...

Edited to add: but it looks like you need to sign in first....

I agree though there should be a 'Report this Seller' button.

There are still people out there falling for these scams and sending their money to them.
And are still shocked when it doesn’t turn up.

Just had a look at this persons listings and there are about 130 all with La La land prices.

EBay system seems to only permit reports for individual items, so I’ve dobbed them in for four of the motorhome listings.

I know it’s all a bit whack a mole but eBay can’t act if they’re unaware. They’ll always get their pound of flesh come hell or high water.

There really should be a report seller option but I didn't find it.

There needs to be a very simple option of "fraudulent relisting of other persons property" or words to that effect, and the ability to report a seller ID, not individual items only.

I might try calling "my" eBay personal contact to report and see if that has any effect? (I have the eBay "concierge" service for some reason or other, which provides for more personalised service and it has worked out that way in the past with problem purchases)

I wish instead of just taking down a fraudulant listing, ebay worked with the Police (there is a financial fraud department I think?) and the payment company to prosecute these people. Just needs someone (could be eBay itself or the police more likely) to "buy" one of the items. the payment can be tracked very easily if the payment companies and receiving banks were on-board and the seller brought to justice and the money retrieved as well.
right now it seems there is no risk to making these listings with the only loss being the time spent trawling the internet for adverts to steal? Maybe if those scamscums had something to loose they would think twice?

It worth remembering eBay profit equally well from fraudulent listings as they do from legitimate listings, eBay is also by mikes the biggest worldwide operation for fencing stolen and counterfeit goods on the planet and again they make a lot of money from listing fees whilst doing so.

There’s absolutely no business sense in them effectively policing themselves, especially as they seem pretty immune from any country specific legal accountability.
