Both sites

I'm still using WC as first choice. Probably cos I liked it so much, after looking at the competition.
Motorhome Fxn should be sued under the Trade Description Act.
My phone has trouble with this new site, its slow, clunky and the text jumps when I'm typing. I can't actually see what I'm typing now.
It doesn't scroll down.
Us Yorkshire folk never complain, thou.
I can still only see the first 5 lines.
IWonder what I've written.
I'll pres the preview button,to find out.
 
I like both sites , I really like this new site it's good to have choice and the meets are here so will always use here, but I love wild camping , it's like home :)

Still using both sites mainly for the reason that there are other users like me haven’t made a decision on which way to go. I used to be indecisive but now I just don’t know.
 
not in the right place to sort out the usp of this new site, can't really do it justice- maybe after Jan
 
I've been away in Ireland with friends for a week, so haven't kept up in either place lately. I do love the new site though. There are new features that I think are fab and bits from WC that I miss. I keep both sites open on my home tabs... when I have a signal!
I'm sitting waiting for a gate number now for my flight home... I will quite likely hug my fibre broadband router when I get there ?
 
WC first, then over here to see if I've missed anything. I think I'll always gravitate to WC cos I've been on there for years and old habits are hard to break. Also made lots of friends on there.
 
I go on both sites but they each have different attributes that will appeal to different people, I think just give it time and it might be the same as WC site. I must admit that I gravitate towards WC site as that was the first forum I had become a member of,
 
I go between both sites and will always use wc after I joined wild camping I joined another couple of mh sites but always feel myself going back to wc think the people are more down to earth and don’t mind telling you a spades a spade. New site will work because it will draw in younger mh owners with families and different interests say than a retired couple in there 70s who are only interested in wild camping so wc for them and this site for everybody else who can adapt and move with the times I’d like to see the two sites more separated though I know it’s early days but when motorhomer.com starts to pick up fresh new members that were not wc members and came directly to this site because it offered more than just wc and that will come just wait and see. Think I New what I meant to say?
 
Hmmm, can see your points Wully....there's two issues that I see...having two flit between the two sites....and then deciding where you would rather be if using the two is a bit of a pain LOL !! To be honest I think everyone should move to this site....move with the times...this new site is going to be the future. If, as mentioned by me and another above, you could one-click between the two for a while maybe that would be good. However, I think this site should be where we all are after a set time (sorry WC fans !!) This is now the "community" for us, it's where the "meets" are, which says it all we think. Fully respect those who want to keep the online community of WC. For us though it's move forward. We'll be first.....we will only use this site from hereon in......onwards and upwards as they say LOL ? !!!! Maja
 
I kinda think that there is still a need for wc as that’s what drew me to it in the first place . I had a mh and was searching internet for wild camping spots and came across wc site looked back and forward for a couple of weeks before becoming a full member and glad I did and I will always be a member of wc as I’ve made a lot of good friends through wc. And that’s what makes the wc site different there a down to earth bunch. New site should and will be different as time gose on more up to date and covering all the bases. I’m happy to go between sites as they are suited to different tastes and needs next week wild camping next month motorhomer as I’m looking for something different I’ll come here.? done it again?

No, not often....use pitch up, searchforsites and the like....have the poi's on maps.me though.....
 
......oh, see what you mean.....might need wc to update poi's ? Soon be on here me suspects.......
 
I don't want to put words in mouths, but there's been a lot of talk over there about refreshing, sounding about change of name :wink: etc. Old forum clunky, out-of-date, not supported, slow -> see where it's been going for the last few months ? ... Itchy feet me thinks. The die-hards are reluctant to change so double up for time being? Interested in what POIs will eventually be on here, seems clear to me ? When it was mentioned that Meets and Insurance etc were on here I didn't add 2+2 and get 5.

There are some styling / formatting issues on here that could still could be tweaked if possible which I've not mentioned because they're my personal likes/choices.

1 Admin, two "sister" sites mostly the same folks, & which currently have cross-over chat IS STILL CONFUSING me, aaarrrgh. E.g Tyres. Do I have to contribute the same info to WC WHEN (not if) someone posts about "which tyre ... ". No, of course I have a choice not to, I want to support this new venture but I (LIKE MANY OTHERS) would feel genuinely disloyal to my spiritual WC home. I don't think that's getting through yet.

I was assured by Admin that the POIs will not be on this site as its not that type of forum it's aimed at M Homers with a different mindset .
