Collective Nouns
We're all used to collective nouns and use them without thinking on a daily basis:-
"What an amazing sight - a herd of cattle"
"Now there's a thing - a shoal of kippers"
"Wow! Did you see that flock of psychedelic sheep"
You get the picture.
So I'm thinking it might be interesting to develop the English language a little. If we can come up with some new collective nouns and they become common usage we may well one day find them in the Oxford English Dictionary.
Personally I like collective nouns that reflect some quality of the individuals in the collection but that certainly isn't necessary.
So my contribution is a shuffle of pensioners. Or a giggle of vodka drinkers..
Anyone got an idea for a group of Mohos?
Or anything else that tickles your fancy?
Colin ???
