Do you enjoy Rallies?

I attend a few each year. I think I prefer the smaller ones but also enjoy big ones. I like it when there is somewhere indoors to gather if it’s cold or wet. The only things that put me off attending are generators or people playing loud music. It’s not that I dislike music but may not have the same taste as the perpetrator.
Thankfully both these annoyances I have found to be very rare, and I’ve enjoyed the meets that I’ve attended, meeting some very interesting people.

I like meetings but due to work commitment I don’t get down south as I would like to ,I must praise jeff, roger and lee for the amount of effort that they and spouses put in for the enjoyment of members.some people do not realise the time, effort, and organising that goes into a meeting ,not excluding admin by the way

Love meeting up with fellow motorhomers. The big meets are ok but it's really hard to get to chat to everyone, so on balance I prefer smaller meets.Having said that , my favourite is Druridge which is pretty big. We've been lucky with the weather this year, which makes a big difference, but having the tents, in case it's not so good, is a real bonus, plus they are a focal point for new attendees to meet up with everyone.
It's a given that we are lucky that we have some members who are happy to give their time to organise these meets, large and small. Thankyou.

I love the meets... all of them! Large or small, pub, town or remote location, each meet has its own charm and, of course, the best part is meeting up with everyone. Smaller meets are best for quality time with a smaller group of people but the big meets give us all the opportunity to put names to faces and start building new friendships. All of this makes the forum more fun too, interacting with people you've actually met. I love the pub meets in the winter... usually with hardstanding and a roaring fire inside. I'm with Sue, cannot thank Phil and the event team enough for all the hard work they do on our behalf

Yes I like them all unfortunately life just got in the way this year so I have had to cancel a few, I also loved the special mini meets with Edina learning to fish and with full member (Colin) learning all about Southend and really good pastry shops . ??

I like them all, although on balance probably prefer smaller, less formal, ones. I'm quite happy to spend money in a pub rather than on site fees. :giggle:

Huge thanks to all involved in arranging them, I know how time consuming and burdensome it can be, having been involved in organising them in the past for other groups.

Enjoyed the few we’ve been to. But somehow always seem to be over the channel, or in England when they are in Scotland, and in Scotland when they are in England. Like small ones as more chance to speak to people. See you at Hollingwood Lake...we’ll actually be around for that one...well done Jeff.

Nah, rallies are not for us, pointless getting a van to get away from it all then go park next to it all, may as well stay at home

I suppose I am in a way, but I deffo prefer to choose what company I keep, hence no sites.

We have only attended two but enjoyed both immensely, we like the comradery and the fire pit. Social evening at Hollingworth was enjoyable also. Looking forward to more meets and rallies. Many thanks to all involved with organising.
