In my experience, campsites are the last place to worry about the company... no-one ever talks to each other anyway!I suppose I am in a way, but I deffo prefer to choose what company I keep, hence no sites.
We used to have meets there quite often a fab pub and camping field.we attend a few, some larger than others, for the last few years we have attended with a group called "Wild Festivals and Wild Gatherings" the trouble is they have now got too big (and expensive) but we also attend a the "Classic Hymer" meets at a small country pub in Hook Hampshire, camping is free, they like you to but a drink or two or have a meal (which are very good)
It was our 'home from home' for years wasn't it? We must all go again soonWe used to have meets there quite often a fab pub and camping field.
My thanks tooI love the meets... all of them! Large or small, pub, town or remote location, each meet has its own charm and, of course, the best part is meeting up with everyone. Smaller meets are best for quality time with a smaller group of people but the big meets give us all the opportunity to put names to faces and start building new friendships. All of this makes the forum more fun too, interacting with people you've actually met. I love the pub meets in the winter... usually with hardstanding and a roaring fire inside. I'm with Sue, cannot thank Phil and the event team enough for all the hard work they do on our behalf![]()
With you on that one, we are not great pub goersI love all the Meets, large or small, although secretly I enjoy smaller, more intimate, Meets, simply because of the conversations and also the informality.
My only dislike is when you have to use the Pub. Far better, in my mind, to pay a token pitch price, and then you can choose whether to use the Pub or not.
Rarely...prefer doing our own thing.Do you attend rallies, meets, gatherings?
If you do, is your preference for large or small and if not, what puts you off attending?
