Dogs barking

Dogs can be trained.

Unfortunately some dog owners haven't got enough brains to do such a simple job - which is why their dogs aren't trained.

Dead give away is a dog of any size dragging the owner hither and thither. Smaller the dog, the stupider the owner looks.

Never mind the dogs,we are cat people but it drives me bonkers the amount of folk how do not get them spayed, tuf them out at night to fight scream and spray around front or back doors, them complain when there is a basket of kittens looking a home,it should be inforced to spay male and female cats and dogs unless you have a breeders licence which should be set very high.

Totally agree but the cost of spaying is prohibitive we had both our cats done the male was 120 euros and the female 160 ,the dog was
Almost 220. I can understand why people can’t afford it.

We have two rescue dogs and one is a nightmare barker. I’ve owned dogs for years, so not a complete numpty when it comes to training them. But Oscar has no impulse control. We’ve tried all sorts from a bark collar (vibration only) to a dog behaviourist ... no use. His separation anxiety is also massive. Now, if I’d had him as a pup ... of course he’d be perfect!

Roxxy barks if anyone walks up our path but that is normal behaviour as far as I am concerned so it doesn't bother me but it does Maggy, she tries to stop her unsuccessfully because Roxxy will not stop until they have gone, there is an advert on the TV for the Ring Doorbell which is the same as the one we have, every time it is on Roxxy starts barking until the advert finishes.
I don't want my dog to bother anyone but I would prefer her to bark to let us know there is somebody outside, we have left her alone in the van and have asked neighbouring vans owners of she has been ok and they have all said she was quiet, I don't ask anymore now but if we had complaints I would not leave her

Dogs specialise in telling you what’s on the top of a building.

When it comes to a choice between so many humans and the average dog, I would choose a dog 99 times out of a 100 friends as they are far more likely to give their collective all in love affection and general loyalty.

When it comes to their barking, and the non stop yapping of some little ones does annoy me, however in most cases they are only doing it because they haven't been properly trained. Unless there is something or someone that my 3 Spaniels doesn't like they are as quiet as mouses.

Love the spaniels just above....most are quiet and well behaved. As for dogs continually barking and never under control well......if initial negotiations fail then I'd kick the owners head in LOL ? It's usually them that are the cause of the dogs behavioral issues in the first place. "We don't give a sh1t about anyone else" type attitude which is unacceptable. Again, we are surrounded by dogs ?...all well behaved.....err...just in case...what do you put in the liver LOL...Maja

Well we parked at Mazarron on a huge car park, I thought I would park away from the other vans just incase they have dogs that like a bit of choir practice in the night, lo and behold a motorhome pulls up at the side of us, along jump out 3 dogs and two blokes, within another 10 minutes another van pulls to the other side of us, this one has a huge dog in it, I thought great I'm going to get it in stereo tonight, well I'm pleased to say, not a murmur out of any of them, they must have trained there dogs, just shows it can be done, now we just need to train the Spanish to pick up there dog shit after them and then we will be sorted.
