When did you catch a ferry del?how's the van performingAs many of you know, Rob (Hayhiker) and I, often travel in Europe together. A mutual aid group, as it were.
As a result of my future Pacemaker replacement, I’ve had to visit the hospital fairly often.
Now with a month free of obligations, appointments’n stuff. I’ve finally got away.
I caught a ferry from Dover - Dunkirk early Monday 29 October, following a CRMC race meeting at Brands Hatch.
Wandered fairly aimlessly for a week or so. Just happy to be out in the van again. It never seems to amaze me, what you can find,With no particular place to go
.
For the last few days I’ve been in an area, that obviously was a fairly large, now disused village railway station.
St Etienne D’Albagnan. There’s a public toilet, restaurant, bins and water. No grey or black waste. But hey, you can’t have everything.
What it does have, is a walk/cycle path that is a joy to walk.
I do seem to be a long way from any shops. So my meals could be interesting over the next few days.
I’m going to try to make my stock last until Rob passes by towards the vets and the ferry, and then join up for the return ferry. I’ve loads of pasta, rice and tins of stuff. I know I won’t go hungry, but losing a few pounds wouldn’t hurt.
See you at Hereford
