Fiamma Wall Mounted Awning Foot Brackets

I use mine as stated in another reply, when its raining a small porch and I also do the one leg shorter trick when it rains

Yep. quite happy with them now. Washed the canopy and had it using the fixings to dry out.
Thanks for all the replies.

Cheers

Brackets on our van . No movement as the feet are fixed in the bracket..another use for the bracket is a towel rail

Mine sat packed in the locker for a few years then i decided to fit them and now use them regular abroad then the legs don`t touch the ground.

I would never use them in anything more than a gentle wind or leave it unattended or overnight.

Even had it deployed when the Police Municipale have come round several times collecting the money.

They said nothing, in fact they were glad of the shade, took their time and enjoyed a cooling drink on a couple of occasions.

Similarly when the Gendarmerie have driven through, they looked and nodded then drove off.
Did you re-enforce the inside? I'm hearing mixed messages about putting something behind to strengthen it. My issue being I have wall panels on the back so can't get to the wall to re-enforce it?

Do you have a picture of the inside? How you've re-enforced it from within? I have a Peugeot Boxer and am looking to do it though am already fully converted

As the weight as designed is onto the wall, I think just fix it to the wall as the weight is pushing into the van wall, unlike a bike rack which has weight hanging off it & pulling

I have some of the Fiamma side mounts and while I think they could be very handy, always been wary of fixing them as the potential downside is (IMO) pretty big, so they have stayed in the bag unused.

We have a fiat Ducato and use these
Those look pretty good - but pretty expensive as well. I like that they are not permanent.

Interesting they highlight they are not for the Fiamma Caravanstor. The Caravanstor feet are no different to the standard Fiamma cassette Awning, so they would fit I think.
There is a specific way to use wall-mounted brackets with a Caravanstor (it is more involved than with a cassette Awning) that Fiamma explain but some users are not aware of and maybe the sellers of those Graft mounts decided not to get involved in complicating things?

Thank you for this, I understand where you're coming from so will look a little more into this.

Yes that’s keeps the rubbers clean!
And means there’s no crud to scratch the van
