Thanks to all involved with setting up this meet on Orkney, it's been great, but the weather has made us make the disision to head south ,waiting on ferry at this very moment.
Big thank you to Linda and Jeff for last night's entertainment,
And thank you to the 2 singers fantastic, Mike and Sylvia.

t’s a tad breezy this morning in Orkney!

Understatement - gale force with driving rain and the van is severely rocking side to side on the pitch… 😳🤪

We have a chap staying here on the site in a sort of old-fashioned scout tent - wouldn’t fancy being in his place in this weather…🫨

The little inter-island ferry set out a short while ago, just hope they’ve all got good sea legs 😉🤢🤣

We've had a brilliant time on Orkney.....apart from the weather!!!!! Thanks to Phil for organising this and getting our discounts and Jeff for organising the entertainment.
Last but not least a big thank you to everyone for the company.
I'm pleased folks had a good crossing today unlike us yesterday...it was a tad rough...first time I've ever been seasick 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮
Making our way home down through bonnie Scotland for the next few days.
Chris, Jeff and Luna xxx

Hi everyone, I can’t believe how light it is up in this northern hemisphere, hence the late post time wise.
Just a big thank you to Phil, Jeff and the other stewards who helped organise this fab week on Orkney. Like others it was our first time here and very impressed we were.
It was great to meet new faces and old and the golf club meets for the quiz and social events was excellent for catching up and discussion matters.
We are currently at a wild site literally 10ft if you are imperial or about 3m if you are metric from the sea, wow, if I was in Cornwall I would be paying many many pounds for this privilege.
Hope you all have a safe trip home and will be catching up again with you at Newbury van fest.
ATB, Phil and Tracy

Thanks to Phil for organising and arranging discounts for site and ferry.
Thanks also to all the stewards/helpers who make these events run smoothly.
Well done Jeff & Linda for the quiz night, very enjoyable, and what talent we have amongst us in the singing/guitar playing department, wonderful entertainment indeed.
A very big thanks to all those who arranged and helped me celebrate another birthday on Orkney with afternoon tea and cake and nibbles, followed by an evening steak meal cooked to perfection by Ken (rugby Ken) very memorable indeed.
Great to catch up with and share time with old friends and meet some new ones.
Lastly, nice to remember Meg (biggarmac) from this time last year, a bit emotional for me, thanks Linda for explaining and your support afterwards.
