in a motorhome that's 10 years old do you need to have a habitation check every year if not selling.
good idea, spot problems before they become disasters.in a motorhome that's 10 years old do you need to have a habitation check every year if not selling.
No it’s notBut it isn't legally required is it?
There's definitely no requirement or huge necessity unless there's a current warranty involved. As you say, if I was selling, then of course I'd do it to show the buyers. When I first got my 2nd-hand motorhome, I took it back for the habitation check twice but soon realised that there was little they could do that even I couldn't do myself. I'd naively assumed it would include a bit of attention to the workings of the gas appliances or tightening up the joints on some of the plumbing... but no. After a while I bought myself a damp meter amongst other bits and learned how to check for potential problems and I've always been able to sniff out gas leaks a mile off anyway... well there had to be a reason I was given my awful nose!in a motorhome that's 10 years old do you need to have a habitation check every year if not selling.
