If you could own any car, what would it be?

i would love to have nissan prairie again.............sport car yes....but would not be much use to me now........
I’m with you on that one we had a Nissan Prairie and I loved it it was great for canping in and a generally good all round vehicle yep I wish they still made them I would buy another it was also the first ever car we bought new straight out of the showroom ( and the last) ?

1938 Auto Union Type D. No question.

Failing that, Santa, please can I have Tim Birkin's 4.5litre Blower Bentley No1, but only in BRG.

I'll wait in tomorrow for your delivery.
.

Err, tis only August, just saying like.

I would also like to own another one of my previous cars from the 1980's.

It was a Daimler Sovereign 4.2 (XJ6). I loved everything about that car, even the smell of it.

We test drive a Tesla model X 100D in Edinburgh a few weeks back. It was an absolutely superb car and with new Tesla super chargers appearing on the road network every week it is reasonably practical. I was sorely tempted but Sue managed to persuade me not to buy it telling me that over £100k for effectively a gadget laden toy was stupid and I must admit she was right. What did we get instead - new windows for the house, sensible but boring,

Fiat panda 4x4

Having seen them charge around italian ski resorts in deep snow

I borrowed a 3.8 XJ6 Jaguar some years ago and I have to agree with you Rob it was a beautiful ride.

Our runabout is an Abarth 695 Turismo - a go faster Fiat 500 but what a great little car. It always brings a smile to my face when I start it up and hear the great throaty noise it makes and driving it is pure joy.

I’ve owned 4 mercedes Gwagons going back to 1982 and can definitely recommend them, I wish I could still afford the £120k asking price!. My last 1 was a 1993 lwb which was bought by a guy who flew from South Africa to take it back, he sent me pics of it surrounded by lions once, very bizarre.

My Nissan Note N-Tec is great, eight years old and not a hiccup, British built and great size to park and seats go flat in the back so great for moving things . Won’t be changing it anytime soon .

I think that when you get a car that you really like it’s best to stick with it rather than change for changes sake. Same with motorhomes I suppose.

Mk 2 Jaguar in British Racing Green. In it's time served the criminal fraternity well and even the cops who chased them in their Mk 2 's.
