HP brown sauce and nothing else though occasionally I do like maple syrup on bacon.

It has to be HP brown sauce but I wouldn’t say no to a fresh tomato now and then!

I prefer white bread no butter and red sauce but if offered I wouldn't be rude and refuse most any bacon sandwich.

Either a nice fresh tiger loaf or Warburtons white with enough butter then slightly crisped bacon and a coating of HP.

Yes mushrooms, fried cherry tomatoes, sausage, egg etc etc are all nice additions but then it isn’t a bacon butty so different rules may apply. Like NO sauce with a running egg :)

this is making my mouth water.........prefer bacon butty....on white bread, no,no,no butter......either red or brown sauce......
hmmmm is there any bacon in fridge i wonder.......sounds good for brekki today

Usually HP sauce for me but I have been known to have both HP and Ketchup!

I tend to have toasted bread for my bacon sandwiches and lots of butter and white pepper.

I went with Brown, but I'm not a great fan of sauces as a rule, I prefer to eat food as it is presented, and use sauce if it doesn't live up to expectations, having said that some sauce can lift a food.

Whenever I have a bacon roll (preferably with the roll very lightly toasted) I always ask for brown sauce. Sometimes it comes as HP sauce, sometimes it comes in a bottle labelled brown sauce and in posh places it comes in a bowl so may be either HP or just brown sauce. So what is the difference between HP and brown sauce apart from HP tends sometimes to be spicier?

I had a bacon butty today... on a family day out at a farm. They didn't have any brown sauce :cry::cry::cry:

I like a bacon butty to contain bacon ( with butter on the bread) so I can taste the bacon. I don’t like sauces that make everything taste the same.
I remember, in 1984 I went to Wigan with a mate to deliver some camera equipment and stopped at a cafe for a bacon butty. Mine came smothered in brown sauce, I couldn’t eat it.
I’ve never been to Wigan since...........

I went with brown but in reality I usually have both brown and red together but there was no option for that :(

Regards,
Del
