Ingenious if you like to be the star attraction on the camp site

Liz and I were up in Scotland once and we stopped for a brew where loads of people were wild camping, one had a trailer tent, well it must have been their first time putting it up, I got my camera out of the van and took pictures when they weren't looking, we must have been 100 yards away but you could hear the shouting match getting worse & worserer.

Bloody wore me out watching that. By the time he gets set up it would be time to pack up again...
Some things can be done, but why would you? Krypton factor assembly not for me, imagine a showery squal in NW Scotland.. you would just end up sitting in the front seats wishing you had bought a Bambi (or maybe not)
K ;)

Buy a cheap 2nd hand caravan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it total other end of the spectrum from me. I’d get halfway through building it wae a couple of drinks down my neck loss a part or two take a hairy anger fit and put a match to it.

I think I'd love the design and build then sell it after ensuring it all worked and done a video showing how it all went together in great detail.

Nice and helpful of you.... Didn't think to offer any assistance.

I thought it best not to interfere between man and wife when arguing, but I'm sure you would have.
I've helped many folks over the years I've been camping...
Often it's just an extra pair of hands that can make the difference....
Or the offer of a brew and a bit of thinking space
Especially if it's a tent that someone isn't familiar with...

I tend to leave people alone, and prefer to be left alone, I will ask for help if I need it, as I'd expect anyone else to do.

I don't like people very much at all and prefer being left alone....

BUT I wouldn't see someone struggle and take pictures of them doing so...
Thats frankly not a very pleasant thing to do IMHO.

Thankfully we are all different.

Back to the original subject, I think it is a very nice concept and akin to the US big RV approach to having slide-outs to increase the living space once arrived.
But as it stands, concept is flawed by it being a bit of a faff to set it all up as it currently stands and I think an attached awning/privacy room would be the better option IMO. He may well make it all a bit quicker and easier to setup and good luck to him (y)

I remember the first time I went away with the new Khyam Motordome sleeper and couldn't work out how to setup the sleeper section - made no sense and it was after speaking to someone at the VW Festival with the same Motordome and looking at theirs, it twigged that I had forgetten to take one of the little bags with the extra Sleeper poles and ground sheet away with us.
Once realised, good for the next time and also good to know it was time to stop trying combinations that weekend with poles missing :)

This is a better version of the idea
