Is there a simple, sucker type, to put outside a window with a lead that has a USB C plug direct into my phone?
Something for a simple sucker with a phone? What are you trying to achieve?
If I knew how to achieve it I wouldn't need to ask I thinkYou are still not describing what you are trying to achieve, just how you want to achieve it.
Are you saying that your phone is failing to connect unless held put of a window, or that it connects but the connection is too slow? The signal strength shown on the phone screen is meaningless. Ignore it.
The reason I'm asking is that what you are asking about is almost certainly not going to improve things. The radio and antenna in your phone is going to be better than any cheap USB thing.
The best approach depends on your objectives, what phone model and what mobile network you use, as well as your location. You may find moving to the other side of the van helps more.
No, it has a built in battery and I also plug it into a portable power bank, runs for about 3 weeksYou leave it switched on when the van is in storage? I turn my "switched power" off when the van isn't on the road, which powers the router down.
I wouldn't feel happy having the extra power use, though perhaps if the router was on the "always live" circuit I could leave it running.
I don't use storage, so the van is within the home WiFi coverage anyway, but nothing is left switched on, except Bluetooth monitoring.
To connect to that, I have to hold my phone up to a window facing where the van is, so it's not convenient.
£9 is a good price for unlimited EE data. What is the tariff you're on?I use the hotspot off my 5G phone with an EE sim card. unlimited data download. £9 per month.
I have a monitor in my van attached to a mini PC.connected by bluetooth to my phone.
This means no need for an aerial as I can stream all the TV channels and more!
But presumably data not unlimited in the EU?I use the hotspot off my 5G phone with an EE sim card. unlimited data download. £9 per month.

I have no Idea. I had an offer from BT to switch to EE (I was paying BT £7 a month for 5 gb ) So I rang the number talked to the person and they said, we do a deal for £9 per month unlimited. I said "will it change after the first month" they no that's what it will cost for the next two years. So I said "Sign me up"£9 is a good price for unlimited EE data. What is the tariff you're on?

Hi there are several Netgear Nighthawke modems which one did you purchase pleaseI bought a Netgear Nighthawke last year and a EE unlimited data sim. It has been brilliant. To date I have had a connection on all my travels, loch Tulla viewpoint, all over Skye, the lakes, north York Moors, etc, etc.
I run my tv from it to watch Sky sports thro my fire stick, no buffering and excellent picture quality. I used a Huawei router before the Netgear and there is no comparison.
Seriously considering cancelling my Virgin internet and using it at home.
