First I was poorly at the beginning of the holiday we now know it was a reaction to a horsefly bite that turned nasty but is now on the mend.
Secondly I had a skirmish with a post and damaged my bumper and side skirt and as if that wasn’t enough.
Thirdly we have broken down on the way home apparently it’s out alternater that’s F——D ah well not to worry we are now waiting for recovery as the first one they sent was too small and they had all the sizes length width height and weight.
 
I feel for you Annie... hope it won't be long before you're home and everything's sorted. At least the sun's shining...
 
I thought we had done very well over the six years of having a van no mishaps at all spoke too soon think they all happened this last trip, first day our wing mirror ended up dangling due to another’s speed we were only doing about 10 miles an hour cause it was fairly narrow ( he didn’t stop) . Then my fridge stopped working apparently it’s the thermocouple that was second day, all well for a week then decided to go for a walk in forestry place got a bit lost asked a Scot the way back to car park he said take top road , three hours later still going round no sign of anybody then figures in the distance it turns out we had done eight miles when it should have only been half a mile, they kindly took us back in their car , never been so glad to see the van , then a week later on the mull of Galloway the wind started blowing a hoollie in the night , put chocks under wheels to make me feel a bit better but they ended up across the car park about 2.30 in the morning never slept a wink and never been as scared. But shan’t be defeated think I’ve done well to escape pitfalls up to now . Hope I haven’t spoken too soon .

We have now been waiting 3 hours for the final leg of our journey getting a little stalled now ?
 
what breakdown service are you with annie............thought they did recovery in one journey.................should take (advantage) of the meal deal they offered you........sounds as tho you deserve it.........especially waiting 3 hours
 
Make sure and tell the service station you’re predicament Annie wouldend put it past them to try and fine you even though you arrived on back of a truck. You know the way the world works now when they’ll ticket an ambulance outside a shop for five minutes and the way you’re run of lucks going that’s all you’d need. Anyway hope you get home soon
