MOT extension

The current situation is - if you have had the 6 month extension, you've still got it, but from Aug 1 there will be no more extensions issued i.e. if its due get it done by the due date. If you are "enjoying" the extension you have already been given on the gov mot website for your vehicle, all well and good, but doesnt it make sense to get it done as soon as is sensible?

Makes sense to get it done as soon as it is required. Not sure if sooner than that would be sensible.

I agree - take advantage of any extension granted or expected.
There's going to be pressure on testing capacity from September with double numbers coming due though.
