Motorhome European breakdown cover recommendations

What I actually meant was that there is no need to include breakdown cover when insuring either of our vehicles, so the premiums are cheaper 👍
Sone companies include uk breakdown as standard to try and good wink you into higher prices. Not much good if ur a globetrotter as you just end up with it twice.
When we first bought new Motorhome we ended up with 3, Fiat bank & insurance!!!! Grrrrr😫

The type of action that invites the 'No more entries will be accepted for the 'Wally of the Week Award' reply. I have several such awards, and the slightly more prestigious 'One More Brain Cell and You Could Have Been a Plant' Statuette, standing proudly over the fireplace ...

Well may you smile; our van is the same as yours (and yes, we are the other people in the same town with the same van).

Hello, stranger! Good to hear from you. Tell hubby the Lithium Batteries are not a universal panacea, Jo. The standard Vanbitz Battery Relay doesn't cope with them and we had an ECU Airbag failure in November when the Starter Battery failed!

My warning about length and weights was due to my experience a couple of years ago. I was with RAC Arrival via the C&CC and bought international cover with the RAC. It was when I read the T&C's for the international cover that I noticed the restriction to 6.0M vans abroad (mine is 6.3M) so I was covered travelling to the ferry but not on the other side!!! On checking further there appeared to be a contradiction between their standard terms and the international ones. Iirc it was all down to their definition(s) of "eligible vehicle". I queried this with the RAC but lost the Will to live almost in the following correspondence with them with no definite decision from them. I left the C&CC and so RAC Arrival and am now with Green flag mayday and CAMC and will probably take out their red pennant cover next time.. expensive but comprehensive..

That was really, really shit of the C&CC to cover you and not say anything about length when they should have known or at least pointed it out to you...and then not to look after you, after the event.

So much for the friendly club!!

In defense of the C&CC they were not involved other than as a way to join the RAC Arrival scheme. It was the RAC international cover people who boiled my wee with their irrelevant answers and pointing me to the very thing I was complaining about as an "explanation".
