Curious who is going to this show?
I'm planning on going on "Friendly Friday" (25th Feb) as can get a few quid off via the C&CC (then carrying down south to visit some Family).

Planning on staying at Drayton Manor C&CC Campsite beforehand and ... a big bonus .... next door is the Drayton Manor Zoo which is home to the best animal in the world (Ailurus fulgens). For under £22 for three nights, much less hassle than trying to find free WC spots (IMO)

I’ll see if I can pick up some free tickets got a mate who dose all the big shows and he gets tickets last time I got some it cost me 100k ain’t that right Gordon.😁

We aren't going to the Feb one but Mrs GMJ has been making noises about the October one this year...if running and safe etc.

I noticed the two are quite different in the exhibits and stands once past the main exhibitors. Feb seems more of an "ideal home show for Campers" and Oct is more promoting andd selling Motorhomes (that's the feeling I get anyway. I preferred the Feb one myself).

£22 for 3 nights?
What mythical method is that!? 2 nights shows us >£60!

We are going Friday, drayton showed full to me might be a size issue.....
Ohh. I haven't booked Drayton yet. I better do so!

I selected Grass pitch, no EHU when I priced initially.

UPDATE: seems all sold out except for Grass Pitches with no EHU. Guessing you would have only matched the "Jumbo Pitch" with your rig?

Yes no room at the zoo for me or Kingsbury, so found a pub on park for night near Coleshill for us and Fijit.

Likely not going to show :(. Drove to hospital today after falling over couple of weeks ago and told I have a fracture so walking around a big show probably a bad idea! (Painful after about 10 minutes currently).

If you really want to go, you can hire wheelchairs there (manual or electric). We had to have one for the wife back in 2020. (who then could get up and walk around a stand normally in little britain style, but could not walk more than a stand at a time)

Back from hospital ... got a "moonboot" type of contraption I can wear when walking for a bit of support but only to be used for a short time (talking maybe a week?). Injury I have should apparently be all ok by around 6 weeks from initial incident and trip down to the Midlands would be 4 weeks, so could well be good enough with a bit of extra care to do the show.

Checked the C&CC cancellation policy ... no deposit refund within 31 days of first arrival so not getting that money back regardless so may as well wait and see how I feel in a fortnight :)

What's the SP on motorhome parking at (or near) the NEC.
I'm looking at the Friday to0.
Is there a bus service from anyway nearby to the front door.

Parking is free, so you could drive to one of the NEC carparks and get the free shuttle bus?

It did occur to me just after I cancelled our booking for tomorrow that scrambling around on hands and knees and the autopilot kneel back against the heels may not have helped your recovery, and the 6 weeks recovery time suggests that the cancellation makes sense. Enjoy your Show Visit and break, and I'll catch up with you after we return from Spain [assuming we produce negative LFT results next week in the Midlands ...]
