I know this is a bit off topic, but isn't it a bit OTT to suggest that dogs can carry this covid-19 and actually pass it on to others? On my walks round where I live, I regularly come into contact with other peoples dogs, as well as horses, (there are quite a few horses round here), and I'm always stopping to stroke them and I'm sure I can't get the virus off them. I know that if I was on a campsite and a dog came over from another van, I would certainly give it a stroke. I can always wash my hands after if I think that is necessary.

Someone fussing the dog can put the virus on their coat from their hands. If that dog then brushes against someone's chair then the virus could pass on to that chair, a member could then touch that and catch the virus.

So just to be clear, you can catch the virus from anything that has the virus on it, this includes the coats of pets that have been recently in contact with the virus.
