Every now and then you get a funny look and have to ask them to repeat it though :)
 
An update!

The part arrived and my friend Rae offered to find the sensor and replace it for me. The sensor ended up being in a really easy place to access, this is a photo of Rae with his fingers on the sensor.

Here is the sensors position under the van.

It is the sensor to the left with the two black pipes.

Unfortunately the sensor I sent to me is the wrong one and I am now going to have to wait for a new one to arrive :(

Rae has offered to come down early and fit the sensor for me before Hereford.
 
I’ve never noticed my 2016 Fiat ducato doing an auto regeneration of DPF!!!! It gives a warning light doesn’t it so can’t believe I would have missed them!!!!
I do engine break a fair bit as I had a brakes over heating problem early days is Spain and brakes groan a lot when hot.
guess must be ok as no warnings or limp mode engaged.
Any suggestions

Find out if someone else stocks it and press insurers to agree change of repairer in view of excessive delay.
Surely a screen for this type of standard vehicle should be available next day or 3 at worst!!!!!
National windscreens or fiat themselves perhaps.
Speak to someone in authority at insurers.
