Since we decided to move to France, we considered re registering our 21 year old Swift with French plates, but it appears to be fraught with difficulties, so, we decided to sell it and buy another.
We decided to take the van back to the U.K, part ex it against a new one and do the registration in a few months time, till we started looking at vans in France.
Second hand vans are so expensive and have much higher mileages than U.K. vans, we bit the bullet and bought a new one. We sold the old one in France in a couple of days, much to our surprise, and have been vanless for a couple of weeks, but today’s the day. We pick the new van up at 2 pm today, and here’s the best bit, it was over €10,000 cheaper here than the equivalent in the U.K., albeit, it is a special edition, not sold outside mainland Europe.
So, how excited do you think we are?
