Ongoing hab door lock issue.

Just a thought, have you checked out the Swift caravan owners forums, I doubt Swift used different lock suppliers for caravans and motorhomes. If it was on a caravan the key fob would auto lock the hab door and talk to the Sargent alarm system, does yours have a separate or any alarm?

Theres no alarm, with caravan theres only a hab door so nothing else to operate.

Your hab door has a solenoid fitted which will be linked to the cab door lock/unlock circuit. Your solenoid works off a battery, so check the supply to it when it is in situ. Check that the door is closing properly and the door contacts are properly close/aligned.

Yeah I realised all that, its all checked and ok right up to where loom disapears into fuse box / ecu circuit.
I'm not 100% certain if its linked to cab circuit or not, as previously noted some have a seperate button and some dont.
There's no contacts on door to register open/shut, just a solenoid with 2 wires which should work opposite polarities depending on open/shut.

Ok, so it must be the original Fiat central locking solenoid, presumably there is a locking switch in the centre of the dashboard, what happens when that is pressed?

I have never heard of any motorhome that came with 2 separate fobs. It could happen if there was no original automatic locking of all doors and an aftermarket unit was added to protect the Hab door but I doubt this on yours. Swift and Ace were entry level motorhomes, possibly the Bessecar models had extras factory fitted but it was not common on British motorhomes of that period.

The solenoid on hab door doesnt work with anything, dash button, or cab fob.
If you read through thread its all been stated.
Thanks for help everyone but this is going round in circles now, My next step is find another motorhome the same and see how it should operate.

Thinking about it, ours never had a fob.
You locked or unlocked one door with a key, all the others followed suit.
I suspect there had been an alarm that also triggered the door locks, but that was long gone.

I thought the door may have been alarmed but the OP says there are no contacts on the door or frame. What he seems to have is a break in the circuit that locks the Hab door when the vehicle fob is used to lock the Cab doors.

That was my initial thought but Ive traced the wires all the way back and it disappears into some kind of module which I'm guessing is a seperate receiver? For a remote fob?
Theres no breaks in circuit right up until wires go into it after plug connection.
There is a permanent live and an earth and other wires which have been purposely blanked by looks of it during installation which also looked factory - non of these do anything when cab fob is operated.
I was hoping initially it was as you say and someone disconnected it to stop the function of hab door operating but alas no.
I'm looking into now getting a new module with a fob which I can wire in using the same solenoid already fitted to hab door which again looked factory.
