Purposeless Products

Meanwhile....here is one for you to contemplate..... and no, its not LEGO.

An oriental vegetable that has already been processed - for separating mung bean husks from the sprouts?

Colin ???

Nope, and no hint of a clue from you on yours yet I deduce, Doctor Watson!

Colin-have you noted my reply to Robmac at 1654 for a further clue as to my offering? Have you one final clue for me on yours before I fail miserably?? please!

Hi teejay. I posted #383 - a clue just one minute before this request! I hope my posts are appearing!

Colin ???

For holding a slice of Melon Colin?

It's sorta that shape!

It's for slicing the Melon Rob.

Alec

I think the prize should be awarded jointly to Robmac and Livotlout.
With a special commendation for effort to teejay!

I have to add that I would have failed miserably at getting this one .And I suspect that the thoroughly Purposeless Product fails miserably to prepare melon.
A classic case of if you have a knife, use it!

Tofu cutter is what it is!

That one really stumped me. Having handled tofu I can see it would be useful if there are huge quantities to prepare - but tofu isn't exactly difficult to cut into cubes!
That was a good one, teejay. I'll sleep more soundly tonight.

Colin ???

Again Colin, a somewhat useless piece of kit when kitchens are full of knives. Well done to the guesser, livolout. Didn't see your last clue until too late! We'll all sleep soundly until the next dastardly devilish detritus is destined to be discovered!

Purposeless Products are possibly prolific and, perish the ponder, but peevishly problematic for progressive, positive people.

Colin ???

What a wonderfully wicked way we wander with wistfulness while working our way, waist deep in worthless widgets of the kitchen Colin!

Indeed we do, teejay!

I really pondered over this one but kept falling foul of the word 'working'. So, my non-alliterative translation... most men just might occasionally notice the odd mysterious gizmo when passing through that strange room called the kitchen to get a beer from the fridge

That's a sexist comment and has no place on Moho.com!
I shall report you to the Forum Team.

Well, the Forum Team (part of it at least) have investigated your complaint and decided the comment wasn't based on sexist prejudice but on decades of actual personal observation, so purely anecdotal and without any malicious intent. Case dismissed :p

And no doubt with punitive costs awarded, against the plaintiff!

The Forum Team would find a glass of prosecco acceptable... next time you head to the fridge for that beer :b0230:

I'll pass that over to Colin. I would suggest a virtual chalice of something somewhat more diuretic may be suitable in the light of a clearly biased decision, riddled with a conflict of interest as it is. (Got to stick up for us members!!)

Oi! I'm a member as well ya know... us chosen ones have feelings too :Loudly_Crying_Face_ :Hungry_Face_Emoji:

Hmmm maybe a thread called Purposeless Products is not really the place to be discussing the Forum Team.
Move along at the back please... nothing to see here... :b0230:
